San Diego, CA, USA - The OFC Organizing Committee has announced that it will celebrate 50 years of existence during OFC 2025. As the industry's premier event, OFC has always brought together industry-leading technological advances and industry experts. Next year's OFC will continue between March 30 and April 3 in San Diego, California.
OFC 2025 will bring together industry leaders, academics and government representatives from 74 countries and regions around the world to provide comprehensive technical presentations and an extensive exhibition, as well as the latest technological advances in the optical communications industry.
As OFC celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are proud of its legacy and hope for the future of innovation in optical communications,” said Elaine Wong from the University of Melbourne, Australia, chair of the OFC conference. This milestone year is a great opportunity for the global optical communications community to come together, share knowledge and progress together, and the OFC will continue to be a cornerstone of our industry.”
The OFC has also launched a call for papers for the 50th anniversary celebration, which runs through the 22nd of this month. Industry leaders, academic elites are all welcome to debate or discuss advances in optical communications, cutting-edge research and case studies are all welcome, and topics can include optical networks, photonic devices, data centers, and any innovations and challenges that are shaping the future of optical communications.
